T-Scan Corporation: History

T-Scan Corporation is a privately operated, full service litigation support company headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Our training and experience began in 1996 through the court reporting business, Anthony J. Tamfer & Associates Court Reporters (AJT).

Changes in release of information and privacy laws, along with the increasing pressure on law firms and claims offices to reduce costs, created a record retrieval niche in the legal support industry. Many AJT clients were asking for our court reporters' help in obtaining records on a case by case basis.

In 2002, a subdivision of AJT was created to meet the increasing demand for record retrieval services and T-Scan was born. By the end of the year, it was clear that this initially tiny division of the successful court reporting firm needed to be its own company. T-Scan Corporation incorporated in January 2003, and has evolved into the industry leader in litigation support for the Pacific Northwest.

Our background in the court reporting industry leant T-Scan a different perspective on the record retrieval industry. We have a greater understanding of our clients' needs and believe that open communication is the key to creating lasting relationships. T-Scan's dedication to maintaining the most up-to-date technology helps us reduce the total cost of litigation for our clients. We provide an effective business process outsourcing service that simplifies the labor and technology intensive task of record retrieval. T-Scan owns, administers and manages our own record retrieval process and works to continually improve it.

While we are a Seattle based company, T-Scan Corporation obtains records for clients worldwide. Our goal is to make the global community as accessible as the provider down the street and we have been equally successful obtaining records from local providers and providers across the globe.
